Repentence

  1. Introduction There is a difference between the way both Jesus and the apostles preached repentance, compared to how modern reformed and pentecostal theology teaches repentance. Many people say that repentance is mandatory to the preaching of the gospel. Yet in Biblical evangelism of Gentiles we found this not to be the case. So how is repentance defined, or what is the meaning of repent? 2. Defining Repentance The definition of repent in the original Greek is the word metanoia, which simply means “ Change the Way you Think!” . That’s it, nothing more, nothing less. It does not mean “turn away from your sins, and turn to God”.  Dear  labourers in the harvest , Propitiation is a subject that has been wrongly taught for nearly 500 years. Theologians around the world are realising that it is not possible for a loving Father to torture His only Begotten Son and stay true to His character that declares God is love. In this lesson we find that God did not punish His Son, and that without a correct understanding of propitiation, then there cannot be a proper understanding of atonement. Without a correct understanding of the atonement then there cannot be a proper understanding of the New Covenant, by which we have the promise that our sins are no more.
