Repentence
1. Introduction There is a difference between the way both Jesus and the apostles preached repentance, compared to how modern reformed and pentecostal theology teaches repentance. Many people say that repentance is mandatory to the preaching of the gospel. Yet in Biblical evangelism of Gentiles we found this not to be the case. So how is repentance defined, or what is the meaning of repent? 2. Defining Repentance The definition of repent in the original Greek is the word metanoia, which simply means “ Change the Way you Think!” . That’s it, nothing more, nothing less. It does not mean “turn away from your sins, and turn to God”. Although in the long term it will be the outcome of repenting, through the transforming process of salvation (See Transformation Through Salvat https://awakening.co.nz/teachings-transformation-through-salvation/ ion). 3. "V22Then Saul sent to Jesse, saying, please let David stand before me, for he has found favour in my sight.
V23And so it was, whenever the spirit from God was upon Saul, that David would take a harp and play it with his hand. Then Saul would become refreshed and well, and the distressing spirit would depart from him."
1 Samuel 16V22-23
Awesome! You can never finish worshipping God and return home or get out of Church still with sorrow, anger, bitterness or grudge, even in your room. If such a cancer or demon still remains in the heart, it's called hypocritical worship or warship. This is because, worship is itself a way God uses to flash out demons from our hearts. King Saul closed his heart to good things in life such as joy, peace, revelation, comfort and the likes by rather keeping the negativities and offenses the citizenry did to him.
It's empirically truthful, that worship or adoration is one of many ways God uses to deliver His children from demonic attacks and manipulations like bitterness, grudge or pride and ambush against the devil.
Can you imagine what happens at crusade grounds after worship.
A Christian of true hearted Worth-ship is a Faith-filled, full of love, revelation, always overhauling his or her heart as David said; "Make me hear joy and gladness, that the bones You have broken may rejoice." Psalm 51:8
May your heart become a praise theatre, repairing every fibre of your being in Jesus name. Amen! Shalom!!
